Fagersta is located in northern Västmanland. The municipality has extensive collaboration with neighboring municipalities. The geographical location is very good with proximity to a large population area. Currently, we have about 13,100 inhabitants in the municipality.

The HR function is part of the Support and Governance department, which supports the municipality's managers and employees in all HR matters such as rehabilitation, work environment, gender equality and diversity, leadership development, recruitment, and labor law.
The HR function is a supportive function and provides quality support and tools to the municipality's managers so they can achieve their goals. We currently have four employees within HR. Our workplace is characterized by openness and a very good collaborative climate.

Your mission
Fagersta municipality, like many other municipalities, faces a challenge with competence supply. Therefore, your initial focus will be on strategic competence supply issues. We have already started work in this area and will also participate in an ESF project aimed at future-proofing competence.
At the same time, the role of HR consultant is broad, and the assignment also includes supporting the administrations in operational personnel issues. In addition to competence supply, you will work with areas such as rehabilitation, work environment, gender equality and diversity, leadership development, and labor law. In the long run, there is an opportunity to adjust and distribute tasks based on needs and competencies. You work proactively, promote, and see opportunities in changes.
Your qualifications and merits
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in HR. Alternatively, we are looking for someone with many years of experience in similar HR tasks.
We would like you to hold a B driver's license.
We also prefer that you have experience in HR work and good knowledge of laws and agreements in the public sector. To quickly get into the assignment, it is advantageous if you have insight into employee participation and strategic competence supply. Experience in change management is considered a significant plus. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We are looking for you with these qualities:
